Dadrim replied: Why do you ask of God? What would you get from this meeting? Happiness, peace, freedom, truth? I think these are the things the people who ask to meet God would usually reach. This, in practice, means just that, right now, what you live is unhappiness and confusion. This way we fish, from the hat of our thoughts, the idea of God, hoping to erase with a sponge brush, any conflict of ours. But what sort of god will be this one? I do not think peace that a thought being generated by an unhappy mind can become a reality of peace (...)
