Dadrim replied: Death for man, symbolizes the unknown, the total break with all that is past, so with all our possessions and memories, with the result, even with our wishes unfulfilled. To face the unknown without fear or resistance is therefore essential to have a peaceful mind and heart, full of confidence, without fear of any form of respect to the "tomorrow" and also free from recrimination or regret towards the past. But how many of us live without constantly dragging along pieces of his past? How many times have we said: "What a fool I was, if you go back now I would do everything differently."
The past does not fully lived there follows like a shadow, never leave them in peace, private parties, so the possibility of living fully in the present. Death terrifies us because it brings with it the "account"! Is wondering what we did, what we have learned, lived, how many moments of joy that we wasted, how many possible love affairs have been laid or denied for stupid unnecessary fears or selfishness (...)
